Disclosure: Fin Ventures AI is a Systeme.io affiliate. If you sign up through our link we may earn a commission, at no cost to you. It does not change what we write: every number below comes from Systeme.io’s official pages, re-read on November 5, 2026. For details we could not confirm here, check the official site for current details.

The short verdict

Systeme.io is an all-in-one platform for people who sell online: sales funnels, email marketing, online courses, a blog, a website and an affiliate program, all in one account. Its biggest argument is simple: a free plan that never expires and requires no credit card, with real limits but enough room to launch a first funnel and an email list.

If you are starting from zero and want to stay at zero cost until your first revenue, Systeme.io is one of the most rational starting points we have found. If you need deep marketing automation, fine-grained A/B testing on everything, or a large agency workflow, read the “who should skip it” section first.

What Systeme.io actually is

Most solopreneurs end up stitching together four or five tools: a page builder, an email provider, a course platform, a payment tool and, later, an affiliate tracking tool. Systeme.io’s pitch is that you can do all of that in one place. According to the FAQ on its pricing page, a comparable stack (ClickFunnels for funnels, Mailchimp for email, Teachable for courses and Tapfiliate for affiliates) adds up to roughly $245 per month; that comparison is Systeme.io’s own marketing math, so treat it as their claim, not ours.

What matters more for a beginner is the structure of the product:

  • Sales funnels: sequences of pages (opt-in, thank-you, sales, checkout, upsell).
  • Email marketing: broadcasts (called campaigns), automation rules and workflows.
  • Courses: host lessons and enroll students.
  • Blog and website: publish articles and pages on your own domain.
  • Payments: Stripe, PayPal and other processors are integrated, with 0% transaction fees from Systeme.io.
  • Your own affiliate program: let other people promote your products.
  • Link-in-bio page: a mobile page for your social profiles.

Pricing (official, last updated April 2026 on the vendor page)

Systeme.io has four plans, based mainly on contact limits. These figures come straight from the FAQ on systeme.io/pricing, which displays “Last updated: April 2026”:

Plan Price Contacts Sales funnels Courses
Free $0 2,000 3 1
Startup $17/month 5,000 10 5
Webinar $47/month 10,000 50 20 (+ evergreen webinars)
Unlimited $97/month Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited

Every plan includes unlimited email sends, unlimited sub-accounts (each sub-account gets the same limits as your main plan, at no extra cost) and 0% transaction fees. The page also advertises “2 months free” on annual billing; we did not verify the exact annual price per plan, so consider the annual figures check the official site for current details until you see them in checkout.

The free plan in detail

This is the part that matters for anyone following a zero-budget launch. According to the official FAQ, the free plan includes:

  • up to 2,000 contacts;
  • 3 sales funnels;
  • 1 blog, 1 course, 1 affiliate program and 1 custom domain;
  • unlimited emails sent;
  • no expiry, and no credit card required.

The constraints are real, and you should know them before building:

  • 1 automation rule;
  • 1 email campaign;
  • 500 students for courses.

What does that mean in practice? One automation rule is enough for the single most important automation in a beginner funnel: “when someone signs up to the funnel, send the delivery email and add a tag”. One campaign means you will not build an elaborate multi-branch nurture system on the free plan. For a first lead magnet with a short welcome sequence, it is workable; for a complex, segmented email program, it is not.

What you can build in an afternoon on the free plan

Here is the exact funnel we recommend in our free FUNNELS blueprint:

  1. Opt-in page: headline = the outcome, three bullets, one email field, one button.
  2. Thank-you page: “check your inbox”, a 60-second video, a soft offer.
  3. Delivery automation: the one automation rule sends the gift and tags the contact.
  4. Follow-up emails: your campaign or a weekly broadcast.
  5. A blog post per frequent question, pointing back to the opt-in page.

Everything above fits within the free limits. Three funnels also leave room for one funnel per niche or per lead magnet.

Strengths

1. The free plan is real. No trial clock, no card. Many competitors offer a 14-day trial instead; ClickFunnels, for example, lists a 14-day free trial before its $97/month Launch plan (clickfunnels.com/pricing, checked Nov 5, 2026).

2. Unlimited email sends on every plan. Some email tools cap monthly sends on free tiers; MailerLite’s free plan, for instance, is capped at 2,500 emails per month (mailerlite.com/pricing, checked Nov 5, 2026).

3. Zero transaction fees. Systeme.io does not take a percentage of your sales; your payment processor still charges its own fees.

4. Everything in one account. Fewer integrations means fewer things that break, fewer logins and one place to look at contacts.

5. Unlimited sub-accounts. Useful if you run several brands or niches; each sub-account gets the same limits as your plan.

6. A clear upgrade path. The next step after free is $17/month, which is low compared with dedicated funnel builders.

Weaknesses and limits

1. Automation on the free plan is minimal. One rule and one campaign. Plan on upgrading if email is your main revenue engine.

2. Design flexibility. We have not run a formal design benchmark against dedicated page builders; whether the templates meet your brand standard is check the official site for current details. Build one page during the free plan and judge for yourself.

3. Deliverability. We have no independent deliverability data for Systeme.io; any claim about inbox placement would be check the official site for current details. Authenticate your domain (SPF/DKIM) whatever tool you choose.

4. Advanced testing. The pricing page we reviewed does not let us confirm which A/B testing features exist on which plan; treat it as check the official site for current details and test in the account.

Who Systeme.io is for

  • Beginners with zero budget who want a funnel, a list and maybe a course without paying anything until they earn.
  • Course creators and coaches who sell digital products and want checkout, course hosting and email in one place.
  • Affiliate marketers who need landing pages, a blog and email automation to promote other people’s products.
  • Multi-brand solopreneurs who benefit from unlimited sub-accounts.

Who should probably skip it

  • Teams who need very advanced, multi-branch email automation from day one: a dedicated email platform may fit better.
  • Agencies who already pay for a higher-end funnel ecosystem with a large template marketplace and community.
  • Anyone who needs a specific integration: check the integrations section of the pricing page before committing.

How we evaluated

We read Systeme.io’s official pricing page and FAQ on November 5, 2026, and Systeme.io’s affiliate terms earlier the same day. We compared free-plan limits with the official pricing pages of ClickFunnels, Kit, MailerLite and Brevo, re-read the same day. We do not use unconfirmed third-party benchmarks; where we have no data, we say so. Prices change: confirm on the vendor’s site before you buy.

About our affiliate relationship

Systeme.io’s affiliate program pays a recurring commission on referred paying customers (60% recurring for life, per the program terms we reviewed on November 5, 2026). That is why we disclose it at the top of this page. Our recommendation would be the same without it: for a $0 launch, the free plan is the deciding factor.

FAQ

Is Systeme.io really free? Yes. The free plan never expires and does not require a credit card, according to the official pricing FAQ. Its limits are 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course, 1 automation rule and 1 campaign.

What happens if I cancel a paid plan? Per the official FAQ, you keep your current plan until the next billing date, then the account reverts to the free plan.

Does Systeme.io take a cut of my sales? No. Systeme.io advertises 0% transaction fees on all plans. Your payment processor’s own fees still apply.

How many emails can I send? Unlimited on every plan, according to the pricing page.

When should I upgrade? When a limit starts costing you money: more than 2,000 contacts, more than 3 funnels, or the need for more than one automation rule. The Startup plan is $17/month.

Bottom line

Systeme.io is the rare tool where the free plan is not a teaser. For a solopreneur who wants a funnel, a list and a small course without spending anything up front, it removes the cost barrier entirely. Start free, build one funnel, measure your opt-in rate, and upgrade only when a limit blocks revenue.
